I initially started looking at getting a dog for me because I was pregnant and have Epilepsy. If the epilepsy
is passed on to my child then the dog would be useful in that manner also. But mostly I also wanted a dog for companionship
and the joy they bring to peoples lives. Instead of a fully trained siezure dog though I opted for a puppy that I could
train for basically the same use and so she would be there for the baby too. Hence, I found this cute mix of breeds
that is such a joy. I have not had to train her to pick up on when my siezure activity kicks in, she let me know all on her
own within days of having her. So she has been a wonderful choice all the way around. For those out there that do not think
that a dog is mans best friend has not met this lovely little soul that has on more then one occasion turned my house
upside down and back again from her antics and her attitude. I used to believe that Tukie, the family dog while I was at my
parents, got her attitude from old age. Heidi has proved me wrong, I got her at 7 weeks old and she is a mini, well...younger,
version of Tukie. This dog came with the attitude inbred in her, and we all love her dearly for it.
Then along came Max...
